LIRA CORPORATE LEAGUE FINAL WHISTLE

As the calendar slowly turns to 30th November 2025, all roads in the Lango Sub-region will lead to Uganda Technical College Lira (UTCLira).It is a home of passion, teamwork, and dreams. The Lira Corporate League will take its final bow for the 2025 season, wrapping up months of sweat, resilience, and unity under one voice, corporate service through sport.

This season has been more than just sports. It has been about people, ordinary men, and women from different organizations who have proven that the corporate world and community service can thrive side by side with competition and fun. Behind every kick, pass, and goal lies a story of purpose, friendship, and a shared heartbeat for Lira’s development.

THE JOURNEY THAT MOLDED CHAMPIONS
The 2025 season began with uncertainty but quickly turned into one of the most thrilling competitions in recent memory. From opening fixtures that drew record crowds to mid-season upsets that reshaped the standings, the journey has been nothing short of inspirational. At the top, Super Selects emerged as the team to beat, be determined, disciplined, and tactically mature. With an impressive record of 16 wins, 9 draws, and only 4 losses, they currently sit at the summit with 88 points from all accumulated points in all disciplines. They’ve shown heart, teamwork, and the ability to turn tight matches into defining moments.

Chasing them closely are Decision Point, standing tall at 81 points, and the ever-determined Amuka Development SACCO with 75 points. Both have fought gallantly, turning every outing into a test of strength and strategy. Decision Point’s midfield creativity and Amuka’s defensive discipline have kept the title race alive right to the final whistle.

Every outing has carried a deeper meaning , blood donation drives, HIV testing and counseling, tree planting, mental health awareness, and supporting education through the Gazelles Sports Academy. These activities have redefined what corporate sport should be:

1. impact-driven, people-centered, and community-conscious.
2. Over 1526 individuals were tested for HIV this season, 876 units of blood were collected, and several children at Adyel Boarding Primary School received scholastic materials. These are not just statistics. They are lives touched, futures protected, and hope restored.
3. Every player, fan, and volunteer has contributed to this impact. The Lira Corporate League has reminded us that being corporate is not just about business growth but also about social responsibility and humanity.

The final outing at UTCLira promises to be electric. The stakes are high. For Super Selects, this is the final test of character, one last hurdle before being crowned champions. For Decision Point and Amuka Development SACCO, the task is clear: win, and hope the table turns in their favor.
