LIRA CORPORATE LEAGUE ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER – HONOURING EXCELLENCE, PARTNERSHIP AND COMMUNITY IMPACT

The Lira Corporate League Annual Awards Dinner was a memorable celebration of achievement, unity and purpose, marking the successful close of the 2025 season. Held in an atmosphere of elegance and appreciation, the dinner brought together corporate teams, partners, officials and friends of the league to recognize outstanding performances across sports, leadership, partnership and community impact.

The highlight of the evening was the crowning of Super Select Corporates as the Overall Winners of the Lira Corporate League Season 2025, having accumulated an impressive 104 points across all league activities. Their dominance was further underlined by winning the Football category and emerging Pool Table Champions, a clear reflection of consistency, teamwork and competitive excellence.

In football standings, Decision Point finished as First Runners-Up, while Gazelles Corporate Club claimed the position of Second Runners-Up, both teams applauded for their resilience, discipline and strong performances throughout the season.

Individual excellence took center stage as Awai Innocent of Decision Point was deservedly named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Season 2025, recognized for his influence, consistency and leadership on the pitch. The Goalkeeper of the Season award went to Dorothy Yusuf, whose outstanding saves and composure proved vital throughout the campaign.

Women’s participation and performance continued to shine, with Annet Atim of DFCU Bank crowned Female Player of the Season 2025, celebrated for her skill, determination and positive representation of women in corporate sports.

Beyond football, the league’s diverse sporting activities were also rewarded. Vintage Lounge emerged winners of the DecaShoot Challenge, while Doctorians claimed the 3×3 Ladies competition, highlighting the inclusive and multi-sport nature of the league.

Corporate values and social responsibility remained a cornerstone of the Lira Corporate League. Uganda Red Cross Society was honored as the CSR Team of the Season 2025, recognized for their tireless humanitarian work and alignment with the league’s mission of community service. Notably, across 10 league outings held from February to November 2025, the Lira Corporate League collectively mobilized and supported the collection of 846 units of blood, a powerful demonstration of how sport can directly save lives and serve society.

Partnership was equally celebrated, with Crown Beverages Ltd named Partner of the Year, appreciated for their consistent support and contribution to the growth and success of the league.
